About The Position

As a Principal Software Development Engineer (IC4), you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and operating core components of our streaming infrastructure-driving scalability, resiliency, and low-latency performance across distributed environments. You will lead major features and services through the full development lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment, observability, and production operations. In this role, you are expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and influence engineering best practices across the team. You'll bring deep experience in distributed systems, strong programming fundamentals, and a mindset focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to shape key architectural decisions, guide the evolution of our platform, and help develop the next generation of OCI's cloud infrastructure.
