As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible of providing the technical support translating print requirements into standard work for the manufacturing operators to follow while producing our parts. This person will support highly diverse and complex systems supporting multiple business portfolios, including power generation & distribution, as well as, environmental control units, such as fans, refrigeration units and pumps. This position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Diverse electronics and electromechanical manufacturing process knowledge.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong experience with Solumina.
  • Strong SAP experience.
  • Experience working directly with design teams to ensure proper documentation is developed to execute assembly and test processes.
  • Experience reviewing configuration changes and working with multifunctional teams for execution and planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain process documentation within MES systems, including Solumina.
  • Translate engineering drawings and technical requirements into standard work instructions for production use.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to ensure proper interpretation and execution of documented processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Quality, to ensure alignment of process requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and enhancing documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work across diverse and complex systems supporting multiple business portfolios, including power generation and distribution, as well as environmental control units (e.g., fans, refrigeration units, and pumps).
