The Principal Informatics Data Analyst plays a critical role on cross-functional product or service teams to provide in-depth data insights for complex business problems which can be approached with advanced analytics techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data to create practical solutions. The Principal Informatics/Data Analyst completes data modeling, mining, pattern analysis and data visualization to provide input to the design, development and generation of data, AI, and other digital products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years relevant experience in health care, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, health science, finance, business, or systems; certifications may be considered in lieu of experience; Or, Master's degree in health care, bioinformatics, clinical informatics, biomedical engineering, computer science, health science, finance, business, or systems with 7 years relevant experience in noted areas. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a HS diploma and minimum of 13 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive SQL skills with extensive experience in developing data, AI, or digital solutions.
  • Communication of complex ideas in a concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, visually appealing presentation creation.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools and understanding of data visualization principles and proficiency in UI/UX design principles
  • Ability to translate data visualizations into clear, actionable insights, tailored to audience.
  • Curiosity and business acumen, collaborating with stakeholders to uncover the true business need.
  • Extensive experience investigating, pinpointing and resolving issues and proposing and executing strategies to solve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develops algorithms to apply mathematics to data, perform large-scale experimentation and build data driven apps to translate data into intelligence, solve a variety of business problems and enable business strategy.
  • Acts as a team liaison with proponents and stakeholders for initiatives and complex data products.
  • Educates and advises internal and external customers on how to leverage available data for consumption as well as which reports, tools and analytics, data products, or digital solutions are available.
  • Uses predictive modeling, statistics and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Leads and mentors other data analysts and team members, may have direct reports
