About The Position

Quest Software Public Sector is seeking a senior Identity Security leader who can operate at the intersection of architecture, strategy, and customer engagement as a thought leader in identity security. This role will help enterprise and federal customers design and secure modern identity ecosystems spanning Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and multi-cloud environments. The individual will work closely with CIOs, CISOs, and enterprise architects to position identity as the foundation for security, resilience, and zero trust architectures. The position plays a key role in shaping strategic customer engagements, identifying new opportunities, and demonstrating how Quest’s identity security platform strengthens the integrity, availability, and governance of enterprise identity systems.

Requirements

Deep expertise in Microsoft Active Directory architecture, security, and recovery.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), hybrid identity models, and federation technologies.
Experience with legacy and modern authentication protocols including Kerberos, NTLM, SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
Understanding of identity governance, privileged access management, and zero trust architectures.
Working familiarity with identity models in AWS and Google Cloud.
Experience securing large-scale enterprise identity environments supporting tens of thousands of users or more.

Nice To Haves

10–20+ years of experience in identity security, enterprise architecture, or cybersecurity strategy.
Experience working at a cybersecurity or enterprise software company.
Demonstrated ability to engage executive leadership and influence strategic technology decisions.
Background supporting large enterprises or federal government organizations.
Prior roles such as Identity Architect, IAM Director, Principal Security Architect, or Field CTO.
Experience supporting organizations with 100,000+ users or complex global identity environments is highly valued.
Strong executive presence and communication skills.
Ability to translate deep technical knowledge into strategic business value.
Natural curiosity about emerging identity threats and evolving authentication models.
Comfort operating in both technical and customer-facing roles.
Passion for shaping the future of identity security.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic guidance to enterprise and federal customers on identity architecture and security best practices.
Engage CIOs, CISOs, and enterprise architecture teams to help design resilient identity ecosystems spanning on-premises Active Directory, Entra ID, and hybrid cloud environments.
Serve as a thought leader on identity security topics including privileged access management, identity governance, and hybrid authentication models.
Partner with sales and technical teams to identify new opportunities where identity modernization and security are strategic priorities.
Translate complex identity architectures into clear executive-level narratives that demonstrate business value and risk reduction.
Help shape solution positioning that aligns Quest’s identity security platform with broader enterprise security and cloud transformation initiatives.
Participate in industry discussions, conferences, and technical forums to represent Quest as a leader in identity security innovation.
