As a Principal I, Instrumentation & Calibration Technical Support, you will be trusted to work on installing, calibrating, testing, and repairing instruments and technologies that monitor the environmental conditions within a manufacturing facility including: -Inspecting and testing the operation of instruments/devices (e.g., oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers) to diagnose faults -Installing and maintaining control and measurement instruments on plant equipment -Testing and measuring heat, light, voltage, amperage, weight, vacuum, magnetic resistance, or various content measurements to ensure conformance with quality standards and controls -May also work with Engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices where required. This position is on-site in our Johns Creek, GA location and a typical day would include:

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • 5 Years of Relevant Experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform highly complex tasks related to the installation, calibration, testing, and repair of instruments and technologies monitoring environmental conditions within a manufacturing facility.
  • Inspect, test, and maintain the operation of instruments like oscilloscopes, calipers, pressure gauges, and temperature controllers to diagnose faults and ensure conformance with quality standards and controls.
  • Install and maintain control and measurement instruments on plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and build custom instrument and control devices where required.
  • Apply scientific and engineering principles to solve problems and innovate for accurate and efficient operation of environmental monitoring systems.
  • Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.
  • Meet individual job requirements and contribute to the overall compliance of the organization, committing to regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in operations.
  • All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to obtain budget quotes and gather site-specific budget information.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vendor activities.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to evaluate vendor performance and project outcomes.
