Principal, Full Stack Engineer
About The Position
The Role Fidelity Quant Research Technology team is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join a motivated team. Building a new product, this position requires a hands-on, lead-by-coding leadership as well as mentoring a team of developers as they journey to becoming better developers. Collaborating with architects, and business partners, you will be building a Java Spring/Springboot microservice backend and Angular UI running in K8S clusters in AWS. The Team Be part of our team developing a cutting-edge platform for launching a new Options Overlay Product in Asset Management Technology group. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a distinct project. AM Tech is growing within Fidelity's Investment Frontier Neighborhood, enriching our Liquid Alts offerings. We utilize diverse market instruments, including derivatives and equities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of software application development experience, with financial/asset management industry experience is a plus
- Proven experience working on Finance-related software projects focusing on asset management or fund accounting.
- You have a BS/MS or equivalent experience in the areas of Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology and you want to learn more.
- Extensive experience working in Java Spring/Springboot, Angular(RXJS), and SQL.
- Ability to apply standard processes across the squad in areas such as Unit testing, Automation, ATDD, DevOps, CI/CD, design, and code reviews.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes would be an advantage.
