Design objects, facilities, and environments to optimize human well-being and overall system performance, applying theory, principles, and data regarding the relationship between humans and respective technology. Investigate and analyze characteristics of human behavior and performance as it relates to the use of technology. Collaborate with Senior Product Manager and Engineering Lead to shape the strategy of our platform's core Estimation product. We're looking for someone who is a champion for human-centered design, a relentless advocate for user needs, and has a track record of driving design strategy in complex problem spaces to deliver compelling user experiences. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation. Be an expert and leader in your product domain, contributing to vision and strategy at the forefront of strategic execution. Communicate and advocate on behalf of your team, product, and users with leadership, stakeholders, and the broader organization. Drive projects spanning many teams to mold long-term approaches to problems fundamental to our construction platform. Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions. Plan and lead user research initiatives to validate designs, make iterative improvements, and uncover potential product directions. Contribute to and lead efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes. Lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, or related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a product design-related occupation.
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

  • Utilize expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD to create interactive prototypes and high-fidelity UI designs for various digital platforms.
  • Apply knowledge of quantitative and qualitative UX research methods including usability testing, interviews, and surveys to gather and analyze user insights and inform design decisions, using tools such as Dovetail, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Fullstory.
  • Leverage understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to collaborate effectively with development teams and ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Employ skills in information architecture and user-centered design principles to create intuitive and accessible digital platform experiences.
  • Use understanding of Agile, Scrum, and other project management methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, iterate on designs quickly, respond to user feedback, document decisions and knowledge using tools like Jira, Confluence, Airtable, MURAL, etc.
  • Utilize deep understanding of design systems, including component libraries and style guides with variants, variables, symbols and auto-layout, to maintain consistency and scalability across different products and platforms.
