Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking Principal Systems Engineers interested in ocean engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the naval undersea and naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert and key leader, assisting in solving complex challenges while ensuring the team operates effectively and efficiently. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with oversight of technical work and ensuring project requirements are met with accuracy and precision. You will act as a collaborative partner reviewing work, and contributing to the development of innovative procedures, processes, and standards to improve team performance. You will help to ensure that systems are built, tested, and deployed seamlessly while supporting the team leader in achieving overall project goals. Each day will bring unique challenges that require teamwork, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and innovative problem-solving.
