The Avionics Global Chemical Substance team has an opening for a senior level engineer to ensure Avionics products are in full compliance with all global chemical regulations. This position reports under the Avionics Global Chemical Substance Program Manager and will perform various analysis functions for regulatory reporting and risk mitigation activities. As a Principal Engineer you will serve as a technical resource to Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Supply Chain in support of all global chemical regulation’s requirements. You also support the Avionics team with customers’ inquiries about global chemical regulation compliance. The primary area of responsibility will be to work closely with the engineering in Burnsville, Minnesota where many aircraft sensors are designed and built. The candidate must have good data analysis skills to perform analysis of any Collins design relative to many different global chemical regulations. Growth opportunities for this role exist in learning more about Collins’ products, chemical regulatory compliance, interacting with a group of roles across Collins. This role will have primary responsibility for the Burnsville, Minnesota site but working remotely is an option for the right individual.
