This role as a Principal Engineer Electronics/Senior Principal Engineer Electronics demands a combination of hardware and software expertise, practical experience with DC, analog, digital, or RF test and measurement equipment, and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex electronic systems. Team members collaborate closely with various specialists, including test technicians, robotics engineers, electronics design engineers, and radar subject matter experts. This opening can be filled at a level 3 OR 4. This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • The ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and block diagrams
  • Mix of hardware and software skills
  • Experience in text-based programming (e.g. C /C++)
  • Background and working knowledge in RF, digital and power theory and concepts
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Experience with test & measurement equipment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline
  • Test design and integration background
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal direction and guidance
  • Programming experience with National Instruments Test Stand, LabWindows CVI, C, C++, C#, Python.
  • Experience using Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeters, Power Supplies.
  • Working knowledge of RF measurements such as S-parameters, Noise Figure, TOI, and Compression.
  • Familiarity with/working knowledge of serial digital communications and RF Test Program Set (TPS) development.
  • Experience with schematic design tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Zuken, etc.)
  • Proficiency with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high-speed digital design
  • Familiarity with differential digital interfaces like LVDS - PXI/PXIe and VME bus experience
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware
  • Active Secret clearance and SAP
