Raytheon’s Land and Shipboard Effector Guidance Systems (LSEGS) Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative electrical products. Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule, and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of our Land and Naval based electrical products. Our multi-disciplined teams manage a variety of engineering projects while maintaining a work life balance. What You Will Do Function as a Deputy Electrical Team Lead on the SM-2 Production Program Provide technical support/mentorship over staff of 5-10 engineers. Focus placed on engineering task execution, technical rigor, etc. Coordinate with Electrical Team Lead for cross-functional prioritization. Direct involvement with and/or support of design reviews, project coordination, risk management, red rack burn down, supplier coordination, documentation, compliance, testing and validation, peer reviews, continuous improvement. Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. Travel Requirements: less than 10% annually Shift Information: 1st shift, onsite

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
  • This position requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional work experience with any of the following: RF, analog, digital, and / or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and / or digital signal processing, debugging, failure investigations.
  • Knowledge of RF / microwave devices preferred.
  • Production engineering experience involving design, analysis, fabrication, or troubleshooting of missile hardware
  • Systematic problem solving, failure investigations or Root Cause and Corrective Action
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills creating and presenting technical content to cross-functional peers, leaders, suppliers and customers
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Production process knowledge of CCA, EO, RF, Seeker/Sensor, or electronic subsystems; including circuit design, CCA assembly, electrical test and supplier/sub-tier supplier support.
  • Effective organization, emotional intelligence, etc.
  • Systems thinking, strong problem solving in alignment with the OCE.
  • Technical support experience of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, printed circuit board fabrication, circuit card assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Leadership of technical teams, including technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking& reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.
