About The Position

This is a senior expert role for a Principal Electrical Engineer for one of Sperton's clients in Västerås. The role involves developing relay and control concepts for sub-transmission systems, taking responsibility for the electrical design of bay level cubicles in substations, and collaborating closely with the core project team and operating centers (OPCs). The engineer will provide advanced technical support and ensure high-quality delivery in transmission and distribution projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, including leadership responsibilities and work with transmission and distribution design and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required, or alternatively 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree
• SvK AC competence
• Advanced experience with CAD tool EPC ElMaster
• Fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English (mandatory)
• Valid SSG-Entré certificate
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Västerås (some remote within Sweden possible)

• Strong written and verbal skills in Swedish (meritorious)

Responsibilities

• Develop relay and control concepts for sub-transmission systems

• Provide technical support during project phases, including design reviews and troubleshooting
