About The Position

We are seeking a visionary Principal Data Scientist to lead the development of multimodal AI models that integrate genomic, transcriptomic, imaging, and clinical data to drive innovation in oncology applications. This role offers the opportunity to shape predictive modeling strategies that directly impact patient outcomes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced R&D environment. You will spearhead research, design and validate advanced AI workflows, and ensure findings are actionable for clinical decision-making. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in an industry setting (biotech, diagnostics, or healthcare preferred).
  • Proven expertise in multimodal data integration, machine learning, and development of models for NGS-based clinical diagnostics.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL; experience with cloud computing environments (AWS preferred).
  • Deep understanding of genomics, transcriptomics, digital pathology, and clinical data analysis.
  • Demonstrated leadership in high-impact R&D projects, with excellent communication and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the research, design, and implementation of multimodal AI (MMAI) models combining genomics, transcriptomics, imaging, and clinical data for cancer diagnostics, prognosis, and therapy selection.
  • Collaborate with computational, bioinformatics, pathology, clinical, and engineering teams to ensure models are biologically interpretable and clinically relevant.
  • Drive proof-of-concept and feasibility projects from study design through model development, validation, and dissemination of results.
  • Architect and maintain data pipelines for acquisition, harmonization, and integration of diverse data modalities.
  • Prepare and present findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including internal teams, publications, and conferences.
  • Mentor and guide interdisciplinary team members to foster scientific rigor and innovation.
