About The Position

Position Summary... eCommerce Growth Data Science team leverages advanced DS models and GenAI agents to identify and act on growth opportunities in Walmart eCommerce. Our Business focused DS team works closely with business and product partners to rapidly iterate over models and agentic solutions to deliver higher customer conversion and ecommerce growth. Requirements

• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills, including advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Python/R libraries, Tableau, PowerBI) and storytelling with data.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and mentor team members on best practices.
• Deep understanding of business context, data strategy, and the ability to challenge assumptions and drive innovation.
• Option 1: Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.
• Option 3: 7 years' experience in an analytics or related field

Nice To Haves

• Data science, machine learning, optimization models, PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Publications or active peer reviewer in related journals or conference, Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R, Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch), We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. Responsibilities

• Develop and test code using languages such as SQL, Java, C, Python, and more, applying appropriate testing methods and business context.
• Analyze business problems, formulate technical solutions, and quantify business impact through data and analytics.
• Identify and validate data sources, ensuring data quality and fit for purpose.
• Build and deploy analytical models, assess their performance, and scale solutions for sustainability.
• Visualize data and model outcomes, presenting insights to influence stakeholders and drive decision-making.
