Kin is redesigning insurance to be smarter, faster, and centered on the customer. We use intelligent pricing, offer seamless bundling, and make every step (from purchasing, servicing to claims) simple and friction-free, especially in the places traditional insurers often ignore. We empower people to protect what matters most, starting with their homes and expanding to all they value, in a world where climate risks, rising costs, and outdated systems leave too many behind. Our approach has fostered amazing growth, attracted marquee investors, and earned us accolades, including being named to: Built In Chicago's Best Places to Work, Midsize Companies (2021-2025). Forbes' America's Best Startup Employers (2021- 2024, Ranked #37 in 2024). Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies. Forbes’ Fintech 50. Simply put, our people are what make us great – we need forward-thinking, inspired game-changers like you to join us in our mission. So, what’s the role? We are seeking an exceptional Principal Data Product Manager to lead our most strategic data initiatives and shape the future of Kin's data product portfolio. As a senior leader on our Data Product team, you will drive enterprise-level data solutions that power our homeowners insurance business at scale. This role requires a unique blend of strategic vision, deep technical expertise, and the ability to influence across all levels of the organization. In this role, you will own the strategic direction for complex, high-impact data products that span multiple teams and business functions. You will work directly with executive leadership to identify opportunities where data can transform our business, define the vision for how we leverage data to drive competitive advantage, and lead cross-functional teams to execute on that vision. You will serve as both a thought leader and hands-on practitioner, balancing strategic planning with tactical execution. Your success will depend on your ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex technical and business requirements, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders including engineering, data science, analytics, marketing, finance, insurance operations, and executive leadership. You will be expected to mentor other product managers, establish best practices for the data product team, and drive a culture of data-driven decision making across the organization. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact on a rapidly growing InsurTech company and help define the future of how insurance companies leverage data.
