About the position

The Principal Data Product Manager at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is responsible for overseeing product strategy, execution, and adoption of large-scale digital solutions that support various stakeholders including employees, clinicians, researchers, and health consumers. This role involves leading complex initiatives, managing a portfolio of data product offerings, and ensuring alignment with business goals through collaboration with business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee product strategy, execution, and adoption for large scale digital solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to align data product strategy with overall business goals.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable use cases and executable plans.
  • Manage the data product roadmap from initiation and planning to delivery and adoption.
  • Ensure accountability for product execution and successful launch activities.
  • Validate data product ideas and measure the business impact of data product initiatives.
  • Understand the market and competitive landscape for data products.
  • Engage with partners to resolve conflicts and make informed decisions on trade-offs.
  • Drive continuous improvement of team workflows in key areas such as agile development and analytics.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of data product management experience.
  • Experience with analytic data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Palantir).
  • Proven experience working in an Agile environment; SAFe certification is a plus.
  • Experience with data product solutions and data lake houses in a distributed hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystem.
  • Strong understanding of data ingestion, curation, and delivery/consumption approaches.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data science is a plus.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and a proven track record of execution.
