In this role, you will be pivotal in leading the design and implementation of complex database solutions that drive mission-critical operations. Your expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based architectures will enable the creation of efficient and scalable data platforms. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will solve complex problems and innovate within the data ecosystem. Your contributions will significantly enhance data-driven decision-making and operational excellence across various industries. Accountabilities Lead global teams in design and architecture discussions. Implement scalable database architectures on cloud-native platforms (AWS). Optimize applications for cost efficiencies in AWS RDS & EMR. Collaborate with teams to ensure integration with existing systems. Manage automated operations through CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools. Monitor and fine-tune database performance for scalability. Implement data protection strategies with encryption and access controls. Develop enterprise data models and enforce data standards. Research new technologies to enhance database efficiency. Create comprehensive documentation for database configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 10+ years of Enterprise Data Platform Engineering experience.
• Expertise in multi-cloud database architecture and cross-platform migration.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and DevOps automation tools.
• Familiarity with data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience diagnosing complex database issues.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• Business continuity planning and high-availability architecture design.
• Mentoring experience with junior engineers.
