The Principal Data & Analytics Architect is responsible for designing and improving Danaher’s data management & analytics function. The primary objective of this role is to build data assets using data & analytics strategies that align with business priorities and drive measurable business outcomes. This position reports to the Sr. Director – Data Engineering and is part of the Core Technology & Planning and will be USA remote (Preferred candidate on EST or willing to work EST time zone) In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Architect solutions for Data ingestion, transformation & orchestration, data storage, and analytics, reporting, and ML/AI consumption for Danaher wide data models. Build trusted, scalable, secure, compliant, and reusable data products in Snowflake that support AI/ML models, executive dashboards, and cross-OpCo analytics. Establish data engineering standards, best practices, and reference architectures. Enable self-service access through semantic layers, catalogues, and APIs, empowering data scientists, analysts, and business teams to consume data without deep pipeline knowledge. Drive continuous improvement by implementing automated data quality checks, scaling ingestion/onboarding for M&A integrations, and maintaining uptime, optimization, and IT General Controls.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience creating enterprise IT architecture and ecosystems in a conglomerate operating structure with a minimum of 10 years of Data & Analytics experience.
  • Deep expertise with modern data technologies (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databrikcs, Azure Fabric/Synapse, Airflow, Spark,etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data ecosystems (AWS, Azure) designing high-volume, high-availability data pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, and orchestration frameworks.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel to Washington DC and global Danaher sites, up to 10%

  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks
