About The Position

Caylent is a cloud native services company specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), offering a full range of services including workload migrations, cloud native application development, DevOps, data engineering, security, and compliance. The company operates fully remote with employees across Canada, the United States, and Latin America, fostering a culture of technological curiosity. The mission of this role is to partner with the sales team, leveraging broad and deep AWS expertise to establish trust with existing and potential customers. The Principal Customer Solutions Architect will work with customers to define and communicate solutions that drive their business forward and collaborate with AWS pursuit teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience architecting, building, and operating solutions on AWS.
  • 10+ years of experience with infrastructure, application, database, and/or networking architecture.
  • Ability to assess and align business and technical strategy with customer needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Super presentation & workshop leadership skills, ability to tailor conversations to technical SMEs through executive leadership audiences.
  • Expert understanding of cloud-native patterns and Well-Architected best practices.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep domain expertise in Application Development, Data, AI, or DevOps.
  • Industry vertical expertise (e.g. FinTech, HealthCare, Oil & Gas).
  • Experience with highly-available, fault-tolerant architectures.
  • Experience with IT compliance frameworks and requirements (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, security).
  • Previous experience in pre-sales or equivalent company-internal strategic roadmap influence.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional and AWS DevOps Professional, one or more AWS Specialty Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead deep dive discovery, architecture, and design sessions with strategic and enterprise customers and propose Well-Architected solutions.
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor for executive customer stakeholders and align technical solutions to business goals.
  • Author proposals and statements of work that capture customer requirements & constraints and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Educate customers & evangelize AWS through blogs, white papers, webinars, presentations, and direct customer engagement.
  • Win significantly complex pursuits and interact with strategic stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to CSA peers, and provide guidance on more complex/strategic pursuits and career growth.
  • Proactively contribute to the advancement of team best practices and processes.
