About The Position

Amazon Pharmacy Payer Relations is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced to play a critical role in B2B Business Development working with large healthcare organizations. This position will focus on managing strategic opportunities and partnerships on behalf of Amazon Pharmacy to drive growth and foster patient-centric initiatives for health insurance organizations, pharmacy benefit managers, and other strategic partners. This role will be instrumental in fostering pharmacy provider relationships with payer organizations that desire innovation in their end-to-end member experience. This role will manage critical relationships with external business partners to create go-to-market products and services that will drive growth and innovation across the pharmaceutical industry. This role will spearhead business development solutions for Amazon Pharmacy payer strategy, driving key growth and profitability goals of the business. Within the first year this individual contributor will support and grow existing relationships and strongly influence the business development team’s trajectory.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 10+ years of professional or military experience
  • 10+ years of solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry experience
  • 10+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with counterparts on the Health Insurer's team to create a differentiated member experience.
  • Identify opportunities to drive member education and adoption of Amazon Pharmacy
  • Identify areas of friction in the Amazon Pharmacy payer experience and partner with internal stakeholders to fix
  • Drive RFP and contracting administration
  • Strong LP's include: Deep Dive, Customer Obsession (both partner and their members), Earn Trust, Deliver Results
