We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Principal Azure Capacity Manager to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) team. This role is located in New York, Jersey City. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Expertise in infrastructure operations and production services management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience operating in regulated environments; familiarity with FedRAMP High concepts and evidence requirements.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate telemetry and forecasts into clear decisions and stakeholder communications.
- Process-oriented with disciplined change and configuration management skills; ability to manage dependencies across IT operations and finance.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and aligning delivery across multiple platforms and tools.
- Familiarity with Azure services and concepts (e.g., Entra ID, managed identities, Azure SQL/Managed Instance, storage, networking, policies, RBAC)from a program management perspective.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive-facing presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
Nice To Haves
- Professional certifications in relevant technologies or infrastructure management are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Capacity Management operating model for Azure services within the High program—planning, modeling, forecasting, monitoring, tuning, and governance.
- Ensure sufficient capacity and engineered buffer to meet service-level objectives (SLOs), recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), and regulatory/contractual requirements, with a focus on U.S.-only region restrictions and continuous monitoring.
- Partner closely with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to operationalize capacity practices through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), gated change control, performance baselines, autoscaling policies, and resilience patterns.
- Contribute to documentation and evidence such as System Security Plan (SSP) updates, control narratives, Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) items, and continuous monitoring artifacts.
