The Premium Products and Experiences (PPX) team is seeking a strategic Project Management Principal Associate to help accelerate Capital One’s journey to win at the top of the market. We have launched an award-winning flagship credit card Venture X, built Capital One Travel, curated bespoke exclusive dining and access experiences, and more. In this role, you will report directly into the Travel Chief of Staff, supporting a Senior Vice President and their leadership team. We are seeking a strategic Associate to join the Chief of Staff team and act as a force multiplier for leadership. You will be entrusted to create structure amid ambiguity, driving key operational cadences and tackling the most critical, cross-functional challenges. This is an ideal role for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and thrives on building new processes from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills, essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes.
  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands.
  • Bachelors Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 4 years of experience in Project Management

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree
  • PMP Certification or PMI Certification or Process Management Certification
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience in Process Management

Responsibilities

  • Manage Project Delivery: Drive cross-functional projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope, timelines, and budget are met; and identify and mitigate risks and issues, escalating as needed. You will also manage complex up and downstream project impacts.
  • Amplify Leadership's Impact: Prepare and drive materials for major enterprise events and strategic reviews, ensuring leadership's vision is communicated effectively to a wide audience.
  • Elevate the Associate Experience: Partner closely with internal committees to create a world-class associate experience through initiatives like standardized onboarding, interviewer calibration, and team engagement events.
  • Provide Strategic Partnership: Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery and forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure commitments are met.
  • Maintain Project Integrity: Leverage problem-solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
