About The Position

As a Principal Associate, Multilingual Vendor Management at Capital One, you will serve as the operational and strategic liaison between external vendors and internal partners, collaborating closely with operations, risk, tech, and governance teams. In this position, you will contribute immediately while strengthening your process management best practices. We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, process professional who excels in a team environment. This person will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly while juggling multiple key initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of experience managing translation, localization, and interpretation vendors in a regulated industry
  • At least 2 years of experience with TMS/CAT tools and translation and interpretation technologies
  • At least 2 years of process or project management experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • Lean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project Management certification
  • 2+ years of relationship management or supplier management experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing translation and interpretation vendors in a regulated industry
  • 1+ year of experience in compliance or risk management
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead targeted process improvement work and collaborate with teammates on larger initiatives
  • Collect and analyze operational data to generate insights and provide reporting and transparency for leadership
  • Identify and implement process improvements driving issue resolution/risk mitigation activities
  • Develop and maintain formal process documentation including procedures and process flows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert partnering with stakeholders to clarify needs and deliver effective solutions
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with translation and interpretation suppliers, monitoring SLAs and KPIs, overseeing quality evaluations and corrective action plans
  • Support onboarding of new services, maintenance of vendor process documentation, and monitoring capacity and resource planning
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvements and optimization
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
