As a Technologist within MES Operations, you will serve as a key technical resource responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to ensure reliable and compliant operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Engineering to support the deployment of digital solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Technologist is expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a foundational understanding of regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP), and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production setting. You will play an essential role in ensuring system integrity, data accuracy, and adherence to validated processes. The position will work closely with the automation engineering group in the integration of the Auto Line to the IT systems. Develops, tests and validates software integration components for the automation processes with the manufacturing execution systems. Troubleshoot data flow problems and integration to PLC's communication. Develop custom reports of process and quality data related to the manufacturing processes. Full On-site position

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Requires minimum of 7+ years of experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience or 12+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Experience developing software in Object Oriented Programming such as C+, NET, etc.
  • Experience developing PowerBI and Pentaho reports.
  • Experience in software validation using MSCM (or similar methodology)
  • Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management, and vendors
  • Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)
  • Lean Sigma/Six Sigma – DMAIC Methodology

Responsibilities

  • Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes.
  • Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements.
  • Establishes and documents system design, parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
  • Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
  • May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
  • May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.
  • Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or customization solution would be required.
  • Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve a problems.
  • Design technology that allows for the optimal user experience and broad accessibility.
  • Responsible for evaluating and designing, developing or modifying programs.
  • Analyze existing programs and interfaces to formulate logic for new systems.
  • Develop system design documentation, perform coding, and test/debug programs.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Correct program errors and compile documentation for program support.
