About The Position

Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs. Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved. Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience
  • Engineering degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems.
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs.
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products.
  • Assist Facilities PM to monitor & maintain plant elec. distribution system
  • Review/approve preliminary elec. designs submitted by contractors for various projects
  • Point of contact for plant automation software licenses
  • Assist personnel w/ the following: Elec troubleshooting of automated prod machinery
  • Maintain req software versions on pc's
  • Oversee all PLC program edits made to OEM machinery
  • Assist w/ specification of electrical/electronic replacement parts
