About The Position

The Market Director (MD) is responsible for overseeing the District Managers and ensuring overall successful sales and operational execution strategy within his or her assigned market at Prime Communications ("Prime" or "Company"). Responsibilities include: all aspects of market staffing, employee development, time management, and the implementation of all Company initiatives to ensure annual sales growth. An MD is a role model and people developer, anticipates issues, solves problems, makes well-informed business decisions and manages the workforce. The MD is expected to build the capability of their team and drive execution of Company sales, people, and operational objectives through their District Managers.

  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, listen attentively to others, understand materials, and provides instructions to all employees.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent field with experience.
  • 5+ years of sales/general management experience with successful personal sales and customer service background.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; including addressing any Loss Prevention escalations around the clock.
  • Ability to travel at least 75% of the time within their respective markets.
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall training execution throughout all levels of their market.
  • Continually evaluate skillsets, drive behavior changes and coach the management staff in execution of daily tasks to maximize sales.
  • Identify and develop key RSMs and DMs for succession planning.
  • Build the AT&T relationship by establishing and maintaining continual engagement with local AT&T field leadership.
  • Review and analyze sales data to drive store and market opportunities.
  • Implement selection, training, or sales promotion activities to improve sales metrics.
  • Analyze sales potential of new and existing store locations, recommend merchandising improvements, relocations, or closing of existing stores.
  • Support key Prime initiatives that drive sales development.
  • Perform required audits to oversee compliance of market personnel with established Company policies and standards, such as safekeeping of Company assets, personnel practices, security, sales and record-keeping procedures.
  • Drives sales performance; meeting individual, store and market sales goals through coaching, training, continually. developing a sales team, monitoring and reviewing sales team progress.
  • Conduct orientation and train the management staff in the execution of daily tasks and to maximize sales.
  • Participate in administering Company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
  • Lead, plan, and anticipate the recruiting efforts at all levels within their market to meet critical business needs.
  • Serve as a representative of AT&T and the Company.
  • Communicate Company promotions, operational changes and overall goals with team.
  • Communicate key information to the Service Center to enable tailored promotions and marketing for location needs.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with all market personnel, leadership, and Service Center.
  • Report potential problems and offer solutions to perceived shortcomings in any Prime Communications system, practice or policy.
  • Actively promote the Company and AT&T outside of the workplace for the purpose of driving sales.
  • Safeguard codes, passwords, and proprietary Company assets.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Primer values, goals, and aspirations within their respective market to foster an optimum culture of positivity.
  • Contribute to a respectful and professional work environment.
  • Take personal responsibility for all problems within their control.
  • Remain abreast of all changes within the wireless industry.
