The Registered Nurse will provide care at Unity’s 12-bed Meng Residence and cross-train to care for patients in the community as needed. The Residence Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the overall care of the patients and families. The primary RN directs the activities of other nursing personnel and works in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members. During periods when census is higher, you will be cross-trained and expected to support your team by assisting with taking on a small caseload of patients, serving as a Float Registered Nurse as needed within the community, seeing patients in the home, and within facilities. This collaborative approach ensures that all patients receive the highest level of care, regardless of fluctuating caseloads. Schedule: 36 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour overnight shifts (6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.), every other weekend, and 2–3 holidays per year. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook) Highly motivated and organized with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills to help solve problems. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment. Ability to keep up to date with policies, practices, and regulations. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and capable of dealing with deadline pressures. Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations as well as policies and procedures of Unity. Satisfy mandatory training requirements regarding local, state, and federal regulations and/or Unity’s policies and procedures. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Ability to adjust to frequently changing demands.
