JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Primary Care Physician • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Thomaston, CT • Service Setting: Outpatient • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: Jul 01, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 • Clinical Shift Schedule: M-F | 8a–430p (Potential 4-day work week) COVERAGE DATES • Jul 01, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults (18+) • Patient Volume/Census: 18 – 20 patients per day • Case Mix: General Primary Care FACILITY INFORMATION • Office Equipment Available: Standard Outpatient Equipment • Support Staff Available: Medical Assistant per provider, RN, Front Desk Staff • Reason for Coverage: Provider shortage – coverage needed until permanent hire PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: No COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Standard Primary Care Procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active CT License • Board: BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine • DEA: Required • Certifications: BLS (preferred) • Experience: Prior outpatient primary care experience preferred • Other Qualifications: Physician only (no APPs), no telehealth required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide outpatient primary care services to adult patients • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
