About The Position

Centurion is expanding its operations in Georgia and is actively seeking a full-time Physician to join their team at Washington Prison in Davisboro, Georgia. This role involves providing medical assessments and evaluations, delivering treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and overseeing medical treatment for chronic conditions. The Physician will also be involved in organizational initiatives aimed at preventing diseases and injuries among patients within the correctional setting. The position operates under the guidance of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director, working collaboratively with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure the delivery of efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
Ability to pass credentialing and background check

Responsibilities

Provide medical assessments and evaluations
Provide treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues
Provide and supervise medical treatment for chronic medical conditions
Participate in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting
Work under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided
