About The Position

Centurion is expanding its operations in Georgia and is actively seeking a part-time Primary Care Physician to join their team at Arrendale State Medical Prison in Alto, Georgia. The Physician will be responsible for conducting medical assessments and evaluations, providing treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, and overseeing medical treatment for chronic conditions. Additionally, the role involves participating in organizational initiatives aimed at preventing diseases and injuries among patients within the correctional setting. The Physician will operate under the guidance of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director, working in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure the delivery of efficient and clinically appropriate medical services. Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assessments and evaluations
• Provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues
• Provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions
• Participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting
• Works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided
