About The Position

The Pricing Strategy & Operations Manager is a senior leader responsible for architecting, governing, and advancing Midwest Tape’s enterprise-wide pricing strategy across physical media, digital products, and other services offered. This role focuses primarily on strategic pricing modeling, competitive intelligence, and long‑range revenue and margin forecasting, ensuring the organization can proactively respond to market shifts and pursue new pricing opportunities. The Manager will partner with teams across the organization to evaluate market trends, assess competitiveness, and guide major pricing transformations. They bring deep expertise in pricing strategy and profitability analysis to drive decisions that balance customer value, revenue goals, and competitive positioning. While routine pricing maintenance is supported by data operations maintenance teams, this role provides the vision, frameworks, governance, and analytical leadership to ensure processes and system workflows are scalable, compliant, and aligned with the company’s long‑term growth objectives.

  • Advanced Excel, SQL, and data transformation tools
  • BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • CRM/ERP systems (Salesforce, SAP)
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively as needed to achieve the objectives assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • 5–8+ years in pricing strategy, revenue management, management consulting, or finance.
  • Experience in pricing SaaS, digital media, or subscription-based products preferred.
  • Experience in data mining and building data models.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and deploying pricing or financial models (subscription, usage-based, value-based, etc.) with large transactional datasets.
  • Proven ability to conduct competitive analysis, evaluate markets, and guide pricing for multiple business models (physical & digital).
  • Experience working with large transactional datasets and building pricing or financial models.
  • Knowledge of foreign currency and global pricing considerations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and model pricing for Hoopla Digital, physical media services and emerging product lines and services.
  • Define the enterprise pricing operating model: end-to-end processes, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead development of long-term pricing roadmaps aligned to company revenue and profitability goals.
  • Perform deep analysis of competitor pricing, market trends, industry shifts, and cost structures.
  • Build scenario models and forecasts for pricing proposals used in leadership negotiations and strategic planning.
  • Standardize the process of managing complex, non-standard, or high-value deals into structured and consistent workflows to shorten sales cycles.
  • Provide insights to leadership through dashboards, forecasting models, and executive-ready pricing reports or adjustment recommendations.
  • Implement and maintain robust pricing controls and auditability across systems and processes.
  • Partner with engineering/BI teams to scale pricing tools, CPQ systems, and data pipelines.
  • Drive alignment across Operations, Sales, Product, Acquisitions, Finance and Legal teams to ensure pricing strategy, policies and compliance aligns with company goals.
  • Follow all policies and procedures.
  • Perform all other functions as required, including any work assignments relating to the efficient flow of work within Midwest Tape.
