About The Position

The Pricing Coordinator supports the Pricing objectives of the company and is responsible for providing support to the pricing, vendor, and product management areas to ensure the objectives of the vendor management, costing, pricing, and product information plans are met through accurate data entry, product file maintenance, and customer file support related to Pricing.  Position assists with vendor initiatives, customer contract applications, and providing appropriate branch and customer communications and updates. Johnstone is growing, and so can you.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or related field preferred.  Three or more years working in pricing, vendor programs, sales support, purchasing, product data, or similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry with ability to work with complex files and upload into multiple systems.
  • Strong mathematical skills required with high degree of spreadsheet competency.
  • Able to demonstrate competency across primary Microsoft Office software products required. Strong Excel and database skills required.
  • Attention to accuracy and high ability of detail orientation.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions (i.e. Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to research, analyze data, and present conclusions.
  • While multilingual skills are valued, English proficiency (written and spoken) is a core requirement for this position due to the nature of the work, safety regulations, and to ensure accurate communication and comprehension.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates scheduled pricing updates, including but not limited to tracking effective dates and expirations, preparing approved price load files, validating results, and supporting post-load issue resolution.
  • Supports the pricing functions and product file through efficient and accurate data entry, file maintenance and review, including but not limited to accurate entry of approved discounts, special discounts, and everyday pricing in assigned areas.  Includes providing support for all aspects of product file sync, file data merges, and mass product file maintenance through file import and mass load, following established standards and processes to ensure data integrity of product files and records.
  • Provides excellent customer service including responding timely to requests and tickets, performing customer support functions such as maintaining distribution lists and drafting customer communications.  Investigates and resolves issues as assigned, escalating issues and requests as needed.
  • Responsible for application of approved pricing contracts and programs to customer accounts, including verification and documentation.
  • Reviews and processes pricing and other related changes including pricing matrices and automated pricing updates to ensure accurate product files.
  • Supports automated processes for updating the product file, attributes, pricing matrices, and other associated processes.
  • Applies established standards and processes in performing data entry for the department.
  • Generates reports, provides analysis, and assists with projects as assigned.  Includes preparation and distribution of reports or other recurring documents. 
  • May support rebate and SPIFF programs or other vendor related tasks, including maintaining program calendars, preparing submission backup, setting up new items within the supply chain, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
