About The Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Business Analyst to join our beverage distribution team. This hybrid role combines data-driven sales analysis with critical administrative support focused on our Chain Team. You will be the "engine room" of the Chain Team, ensuring the team has the right data to drive growth while managing and maintaining accurate product pricing and costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Excel: Experience with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial; specifically Business Connection (Publix); SRS Retail Link (Wal-Mart); POL (Target); 99 Bottles (C-Store Chains); VIPW (Whole Foods)
  • Familiarity with CRM or ERP software (especially Encompass) is preferred.
  • SQL: Knowledge of SQL database structures and query protocols is helpful.
  • Analytical Mindset: Thinking: The ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Communication: Comfortable explaining data findings to both executive leadership and warehouse staff. Strong interpersonal skills to resolve billing disputes with customers and/or justify price changes.
  • Organization: High attention to detail; you are someone who double-checks your work for errors before hitting "send."

  • Previous experience working in or with large national chain retailers is a very strong positive.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and audit pricing records to ensure accuracy across all sales channels.
  • Execute price changes, including updating pricing contracts, in multiple chain customer systems. Manage and update pricing databases, including customer Point of Sales (POS) systems, to ensure costs are aligned correctly.
  • Submit weekly orders for Trader Joe’s, CPWM, Costco, BJ’s Wholesale, and Sam’s Club.
  • Review and confirm all Sam’s Club and Costco purchase orders that come in through EDI/Fintech.
  • Conduct regular audits of customer pricing books and POS system entries to resolve discrepancies and prevent revenue loss.
  • Regularly generate and submit cost files to customer POS systems
  • Extract data from the internal ERP system (Encompass) to create daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and distribution reports.
  • Identify trends in volume, revenue, and distribution across various retail and on-premise channels.
  • Prepare "Gap Analysis" reports to help sales reps identify missed opportunities in their territories.
  • Manage the distribution of limited-release or high-demand beverage products across the market.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure allocated products are delivered to the correct accounts.
  • Act as the point of contact for sales reps regarding stock availability and "out-of-stock" updates.
  • Administer and track monthly sales incentive programs.
  • Calculate incentive earnings for the sales force and supplier billbacks with high accuracy.
  • Administer and track sales execution initiatives via surveys and follow-up reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining the customer and product databases, ensuring accurate pricing and territory assignments.
  • Assist in preparing data visualizations for regular leadership meetings.
  • Manage the documentation for vendor bill-backs and supplier-funded promotions.
