About The Position

The Pricing Analyst produces and interprets monthly and quarterly reports for the Pricing team, analyzing trends to predict future business performance. The role involves actuarial analysis and identifying pricing opportunities for the company’s products. Additionally, the Pricing Analyst assists Product Management in data gathering and analysis to develop pricing and product development options that meet competitive opportunities.   • Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization's physical premises.

Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly internal loss trend, forecast, treaty year, and ad hoc reports.
  • Monitor quarterly rate indicators for each state in which we operate.
  • Support Product Managers with various data requests as needed.
  • Assist Product Managers with quoting and competitor analysis.
  • Responsible for statistical reporting to include Texas Insurance Checking Office (TICO), National Independent Statistical Service (NISS) annual automobile request, and other various statistical data requests from our states as needed.
  • Draft requirements and present business cases for data warehouse projects, validate monthly cube releases and other data warehouse projects, and monitor of data for issues and anomalies and correct anomalies as appropriate.
  • Conduct product studies.
  • Reinsurance request support.
  • Assist with creating SERFF filings and supporting actuarial exhibits.
  • Monitor correspondence and assist with any objections.
  • Assist in updating severity triangles and analysis for statistical reserve review.
  • Assist in providing requested data for external actuarial support.
  • Provide data and other reporting requests and support for other departments.
  • Produce claims reporting.
  • Create reports that track state results and highlight areas of opportunity.
  • Research competitor information and analyze the impact on our business.
