About The Position

The Pricebook Specialist is responsible for the accurate setup, maintenance, and auditing of product and pricing data within the retail pricebook system. This role supports daily store operations by managing item entries, promotional pricing, cost changes, and tax settings, while troubleshooting pricing discrepancies and responding to support requests. The Pricebook Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring data consistency across systems, contributing to accurate inventory management, pricing integrity, and overall business efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and complete daily tasks and duties.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new products from vendors daily, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the pricebook system.
  • Maintain and clean up database items to ensure data integrity and eliminate outdated or duplicate entries.
  • Review inventory reports regularly to identify and correct incorrect product setups.
  • Set up promotional pricing according to vendor and marketing schedules.
  • Manage cost and retail price changes, ensuring updates are accurately reflected in the system.
  • Manage sales tax setup on products across multiple states to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Troubleshoot pricing issues as they arise, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Receive and process support tickets submitted by stores, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Track and correct exceptions on vendor invoices to ensure alignment between pricing and billing.
  • Run margin reports and review them for accuracy, flagging any anomalies for follow-up or correction.
  • Uphold the mission, core values, and brand standards of the company by ensuring all practices reflect integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Performs other projects/duties as assigned.
