Requirements
- Associate Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent relevant experience
- OCPS eligibility required; OCPSA certification preferred
- Must register with the Ohio Credentialing Board for Prevention certification within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of substance use prevention strategies and developmental milestones
- Ability to communicate effectively across age groups and cognitive levels
- Experience following curriculum and developing appropriate lesson plans
- Competency in Narcan administration
- Ability to identify mental, physical, and social needs within scope of practice
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
Nice To Haves
- OCPSA certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide substance use prevention education and consultation services to schools, community organizations, and partner agencies
- Develop and implement prevention programs, curricula, and educational materials related to chemical abuse, dependency, and prevention
- Assist with prevention planning, program evaluation, and customer service networking throughout the Mahoning Valley
