The Prevention Educator is responsible for supporting with enrollment, facilitation, and follow up of Domestic Violence Prevention curriculum in English and Spanish. They will educate and build trust among parents, students, professionals working in the field, and the greater community. The Prevention Educator will facilitate workshops in schools around psycho-education topics from a pre-programmed curriculum on parenting, IPV prevention, conflict resolution and sexual education. The Prevention Educator will also facilitate tailored one-on-one education services for families and community members using the set curriculum topics. The Prevention Educator will assist with implementing family-led activities, such as in person events and workshops, and coordinate with clients to drop off or pick up program resources. The Prevention Educator will facilitate trainings for professionals on domestic violence prevention and intervention strategies at local community organizations and medical centers. They will aid the Manager with administrative aspects of the program. The position is currently hybrid, this position requires two days in the office or in the field. This position reports to the Manager of Counseling and Prevention Services. This is a Hybrid position. The position will provide in-person school-based facilitation and optional virtual facilitation for one-time workshops or community workshops with 2 school-based or in-office days per week.
