About The Position

The Preventive Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, scheduling, and optimizing preventive maintenance (PM) activities for production and facility equipment to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of equipment and systems. This role supports the maintenance team by ensuring PM tasks are well-planned, documented, and executed on schedule, minimizing unplanned downtime and extending asset life.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, eMaint, MP2).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment maintenance.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
  • Experience in maintenance or maintenance planning, with a focus on preventive strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all critical production and facility equipment.
  • Analyze equipment history and performance data to determine appropriate PM intervals and procedures.
  • Schedule and coordinate PM activities in alignment with production demands to reduce operational disruptions.
  • Create detailed job plans that include tools, parts, labor, safety requirements, and step-by-step instructions.
  • Ensure PM tasks are accurately entered, tracked, and closed out in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Maintain PM master data, ensuring updates for equipment changes, new assets, or improved maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians, production staff, and engineering to improve PM effectiveness.
  • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance for all preventive maintenance activities.
  • Order or reserve parts and materials needed for scheduled PM tasks.
  • Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform running inspections of machines to ensure any issues outside of the normal PM are addressed to reduce impact to production.
