SUMMARY We’re seeking skilled and motivated Preventive Maintenance Technicians to join our team as we launch our new plant! This unique opportunity allows you to play a critical role in developing a top-tier preventive maintenance program. Your primary responsibility will be to perform preventative maintenance on advanced manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. This role requires expertise in proactive equipment care and compliance with all regulatory standards, including USDA, OSHA, FDA, EPA, and local guidelines.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in preventive maintenance within a manufacturing environment (food industry experience preferred).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, especially for high-speed production equipment.
  • Proficiency in mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems, including control systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools, including voltmeters, amp meters, and lubrication equipment.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends and occasional overtime.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance strategies and equipment lifecycle management.
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequent walking, standing, and reaching in an industrial environment.
  • Specific vision abilities, including depth perception and close/distance focus, are necessary.
  • Exposure to moving machinery, noise, and energized equipment.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus.
  • food industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing equipment, including assembly lines, conveyors, mixers, and ovens.
  • Create and follow detailed maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct inspections to identify wear, potential failures, and areas needing improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, including the proper use of PPE and safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and update equipment logs.
  • Coordinate and execute lubrication schedules using proper lubricants for specific equipment.
  • Perform basic repairs and adjustments during inspections to keep equipment in optimal condition.
  • Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for recurring issues or equipment upgrades.
  • Assist in installing new equipment and integrating it into the preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Operate and maintain material-handling equipment like forklifts and scissor lifts safely and efficiently.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
