About The Position
Preventative Maintenance Mechanic Papillion Sanitation – a Waste Connections Company 📍 Location: Bellevue, Nebraska 💰 Pay Range: $23 - $26 per hour + $3 shift differential 🕔 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:00pm – 12:30am Join Our Team! Papillion Sanitation is looking for a safety-conscious Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team! Requirements
- Basic knowledge of automotive/diesel maintenance and repair
- Experience with preventative maintenance procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- A valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus but not required)
Nice To Haves
- Hydraulic experience is a plus
- CDL is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment
- Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and lubrication
- Inspect brakes, fluid levels, belts, hoses, and other key components
- Identify potential issues and report necessary repairs to the lead mechanic
- Maintain accurate service records and reports
- Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with minor repairs and support the mechanic team as needed
