About The Position

The Preventative Maintenance Mechanic will perform PMCS (Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services), diagnostics, and minor/major repairs on forklifts, golf carts, and related material-handling/utility equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations that support daily production and logistics. Essential Functions: Performs quality control surveillances of processes, procedures, and conformance to contract requirements. Validates processes performed IAW, SOPs and Audit Readiness Internal Controls. Understand and meet established productivity and quality control goals associated with assigned functional area / process. Follow established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Manuals, and Audit Readiness standards, etc. Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional work areas / process and work expeditiously to meet contractual and team goals. Adhere to government, contract, and company policies and procedures. Ability to use e-mail to receive and disseminate workload tasks and information. Maintain a safe and secure work environment. Perform other duties as assigned in association with established Management and Contract Compliance Plan, and workload requirements, etc. May include process or workflow creating, updating, communicating changes, training and performance reporting, and compliance. Supports PTi's Safety, Environmental, and Security Programs, and other company certifications and initiatives responsible for Core and Support Processes within the Quality Management Systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience servicing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with strict adherence to OSHA, manufacturer, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform PMCS, minor repairs, and major repairs with quality and speed.
  • Read/interpret service manuals, wiring/hydraulic schematics, proficient with multimeters, diagnostic software, and standard shop tools.
  • Clear, concise maintenance recordkeeping; ability to brief supervisors/operators on findings.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing/bending; work indoors/outdoors in varying weather; ability to work off-shift or on-call as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively read and write in English, and comprehend written instructions, perform common mathematical tasks, and communicate effectively.
  • Attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills.
  • Valid US driver's license; insurable under company policy.
  • Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift) Operator Authorization: Employer-issued (PrimeTech) authorization required to operate and road-test after service; OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 applies.
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Competency: Complete PrimeTech energy-control training and annual refreshers per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147.
  • Hazard Communication: Complete HazCom training, SDS access/understanding per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200.
  • PPE Program: Comply with Company PPE assessment, selection, and use per OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart I.
  • Golf Cart/LSV Requirements: On-site operation via PrimeTech authorization; public-road operation requires compliance with Nevada DMV and applicable local jurisdiction rules for golf carts/LSVs (registration/insurance/inspection, and valid Class C driver's license as applicable).
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance applicable to the position and/or military Common Access Card (CAC) within 30 days if required.
  • Successful completion of WMS training, OSHA compliance, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) Part II, Cargo Movement Training, Hazardous Material Storage, and DLAD 5025.30, DLA One Book, Hazardous Material Training for Packaging and Transportation Personnel Process Guidance.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • OEM or industry certifications for forklifts/industrial trucks (electric, LPG, diesel).
  • Experience across electric (lead-acid/Li-ion), LPG/propane, gasoline, and diesel powertrains.
  • Warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or fleet maintenance experience.
  • OSHA/safety training (LOTO, HazCom, PIT awareness) and spill response familiarity.
