Responsibilities

  • The setup/operator will safely manage various mechanical presses, ensuring equipment functions efficiently during deep drawing and progressive stamping processes. The individual will adjust settings as necessary to accommodate diverse materials and specifications.
  • To prepare machines for production runs, the setup/operator installs and adjusts dies precisely and configures machine settings, such as speed and feed, based on material requirements. Before starting full-scale production, the setup/operator conducts tests to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • The setup/operator regularly inspects output using measuring tools like calipers and gauges to ensure quality. Any defects or issues are promptly addressed to minimize waste and maintain product integrity.
  • Reading and comprehensively understanding job orders and technical documents is crucial for ensuring precise and effective task execution. This involves thoroughly reviewing all instructions and specifications, identifying key requirements, and interpreting any technical terminology.
  • Performs other duties as directed.
