Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies The Role The EGM – Press Planning and Integration is responsible for leading a large group of engineers and engineering group leaders in resolving complex Manufacturing Engineering and Operations issues. Fulfilling your responsibilities will require experience in the processes of stamping engineering, operations, optimizing personnel, material movement, machine utilization, and the overall facility process flow, from blank receiving through GA, including die and tooling setup. This position works cross functionally in a highly collaborative yet dynamic environment where circumstances tend to change frequently. Your team’s success, under your leadership, will require regular interface with numerous subject matter experts, developing clear strategies, communicating, and implementing these plans in stamping manufacturing as part of the ME Body function. The EGM – Press Planning and Integration plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of stamping operations by supporting the planning of press equipment projects outlined in the Stamping Capital Infrastructure Long-Term Plan (LTP). This strategic position ensures that stamping plants are equipped to support upcoming vehicle programs and aligns capital investments with long-term business objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and financial acumen, strong independent judgment, and exceptional cross-functional leadership. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position receives only occasional guidance from supervision.
