About The Position

The Individual who functions in this position must be able to carry out all of the functions associated with being a Press Operator. To qualify, an individual must be able to set up and operate CNC Machines and presses with minimal or no supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a basic math skills assessment
• Ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read blue prints and micrometer
• 1 year of mechanical experience
• Ability to assemble from blue prints, sketches, and instructions
• Basic math and reading skills

Responsibilities

• Produce product as described in the shop order
• Set proper die clearance
• Select proper punch grade
• Select and apply proper lubrication
• Detect when a tool needs to be serviced
• Read shop order and set up a tool accordingly
• Select and set proper feed roll pressure (MP)
• Determine and set slide and stripper settings
• Perform routine maintenance on machine
• Sharpen and service tooling as required (TP)
• Pull inventory and record usage
