About The Position

The Washroom Operator operates automated inspection equipment, washroom equipment--wash and tumble component parts. We are seeking a Washroom Operator on 2nd Shift for our Smyrna location! Shift Schedule: 2nd 3:00pm - 11:00pm  Hourly Pay Rate Range: $21.45 - $22.75 + $1.00 Shift Differential 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year related factory experience with stand-up forklift experience.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in operating more than one machine at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assure compliance to all required industry standards and government requirements as stated in the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, process documentation and all Company Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Responsibility and authority to shutdown machine operation when quality, safety, or environmental issue arise. The operator will notify the supervisor, lead, or other appropriate manager.
  • When operating a fork lift, has the responsibility and authority to remove the equipment from service in accordance with EHS-20-0042. Notification will be made to the Maintenance Department.
  • Maintain and protect all company, supplier, and customer proprietary and confidential information.
  • Set up, adjust and operate washroom equipment in compliance with production and within specified limits to insure optimum equipment performance and satisfactory component quality.
  • GENERAL: Maintain clean and orderly workstation and observe safe operating procedures.
  • PAPER WORK AND DOCUMENT CENTER TRAINING: Read/interpret Work Orders. Process for nonconforming product and completing RID. Labor Tickets. Materials under Washroom Document Center Menu including QA Document Center for Washroom equipment, Scan gun training. Handheld Refractmeter training. Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and HSE Website. Maintain equipment, production, inventory, and other records as required.
  • SAFE MACHINE OPERATION: Identify/remove slip, trip, and fall hazards; Housekeeping, equipment, and work station cleaning procedures; Understand PPE requirements; Light curtain and Machine guarding (as applicable).
  • HEALTH, SAFETY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL (HSE): Successfully complete HSE training as listed on this job position’s Training Instruction Checklist.
  • EQUIPMENT: As designated on Washroom Operator Training Instruction Checklist. Load and unload completed components from washroom equipment as required. Includes: washer, tumbler, wash applicator, etc.; Service equipment for minor repairs, adjustments, perform designated bi-weekly preventive maintenance, etc. All major preventive maintenance is conducted by the Maintenance Department. Follow inventory control procedures where applicable, i.e., keep batches separate to maintain batch integrity, maintain accurate counts and component identification, etc. Periodically check finished components for quality. Notify supervisor immediately of any irregularities associated with equipment, materials, etc.
  • BACK DOCK OPERATIONS: Heavy Machine Sludge; Spill Kit Management; and Waste Water Tank.
  • HAZARDOUS AND NON-HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: Hazardous Waste Disposal; Evaporator Operation, PM; Waste Disposal Chart; Drum Closing; Empty Container Management; Waste Water and Waste Coolant; Chemical Handling/Mixing; and Chemical Spill.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
  • Satisfactory completion of this job position’s Training Instruction Checklist.
  • When necessary may perform other typical duties including serve as backup for Evaporator PM.
