Duties include effectively operating multi station wide web coating equipment in the manufacturing of pressure sensitive adhesive labels, liner, and printed materials: Complete make ready by ensuring correct setup of all coating stations, winding spindles, and any ancillary tooling (perforation, or other downstream processes). Assists teammates with preparation and setup of equipment when needed. Ensures operation of equipment at specified speeds while maintaining quality. Samples product in accordance with existing sample procedure to verify quality. Has the ability to focus on tasks and not allow outside distractions to deter from completing work. Complete all documentation, including press logs and other recording documentation. Assists in the preparation of materials during machine operation, including primer coatings, silicone chemistry, and adhesive, and movement of raw materials and finished rolls to and from machine as needed. Maintain the press to keep it in good operating condition, including periodic maintenance and cleaning of any spills or debris. Proactively promote a safe and harmonious working environment, and follows all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE, and understanding hazards of the work environment. Perform other related duties and overtime as required. This is a 2nd shift position, 3:00 P.M. to 11:00 PM., Monday through Friday. Shift Differential/Premium: Additional $2.00 per hour.
