JOB SUMMARY Support the press operation by preparing and supplying raw materials, maintaining ink and fluid systems, assisting the machine crew, and ensuring smooth job changeovers and quality production.

Requirements

  • Pass reading, math, and safety comprehension tests
  • IVO and GMP certified
  • Able to read tape measures and production orders
  • Familiar with raw material orientation and web paths
  • Capable of safe hoist operation and roll splicing
  • Basic computer skills (mainframe, Lotus Notes)

Responsibilities

  • Production Support: Prepare and mount substrate rolls, manage raw material flow, operate core cutter, hang and remove rolls, splice material, and monitor ink levels and viscosity.
  • Machine Assistance: Start/stop machine, clean stations and cylinders, assist with webbing and impression roll changes, and transport parts for maintenance.
  • Administrative Tasks: Print production orders, complete material tracking forms, and ensure all documentation is accurate.
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials and product for defects, properly label and flag substrates, and maintain visual checks during runs.
  • Changeovers: Support full job changeovers including cleaning, setup, alignment, and startup procedures.
  • Housekeeping/GMP: Return unused materials, clean spills, empty trash and waste containers, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Safety: Follow PPE guidelines, operate equipment safely, and report safety concerns. Dispose of waste and supplies safely.
