Press Helper 1st Shift - Entry Level
About The Position
Responsible for preparing printing plates, operating platemaking systems, utilizing the plate mounter, cutting plates, wrapping onto print cylinders and other activities required for Flexographic printing. Setup removable blades in Removable Blade die per job specifications. Maintain job records to track progress and ensure consistency in production processes. Retrieve premixed inks from the Ink Room. Coordinate the retrieval and storage of completed job carts from the press, ensuring a smooth transition between tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace, including proper storage of tooling and cleanup between jobs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a production environment preferred.
- Simple arithmetic such as addition, subtraction or multiplication is required.
- Attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Walking and standing during most of the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 60-80% of the time.
