Requirements

Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have the ability to read, write and count.
Must be able to read scale calipers and micrometers and understand the metric system.
Must have demonstrated effective communications skills and the ability to be a team player
Must have the ability to learn the job duties within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the supervisor.
Must be able to lift approximately 40-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Check orders and procedures for production.
Inspect jigs and status of pallets before operation of equipment.
Must be able to operate the following equipment and adjust as necessary: Head/tail stretcher.
Cooling table
Saw table.
Chip collector.
Loading machine.
Pallet conveyor.
Aging oven.
Examine products for quality and defects using visual observations as well as calipers, micrometers, and a Webster Hardness Tester. Notify management of quality issues and possible causes and corrections.
Discard defective/imperfect product.
Remove and weigh material scrap bin. Maintain supply of pallets and transfer full pallets by forklift.
Review equipment at start of every shift and assist with repair.
Complete and maintain production reports and reports of equipment utilization/repair.
Maintain a clean work environment.
