About The Position

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining Amada-style press brake machinery to produce precision sheet metal components. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet production and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 3 years of press brake (sheet metal) experience required
Strong blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation skills
Knowledge of press brake setup, tooling, and operation
Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
Familiarity with shop equipment (saws, drill presses, etc.)
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to stand/walk for full shift and perform physical tasks
Ability to kneel, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with Amada or Amada ASTRO robotic brake systems preferred

Responsibilities

Perform brake operations on Amada-style press brake machines per work orders and fabrication drawings
Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings for accurate setup and operation
Apply knowledge of bend deductions and bend allowances to meet dimensional tolerances
Produce parts efficiently while maintaining required quality and cosmetic standards
Perform in-process inspections and complete required documentation
Confirm operations in ERP systems and complete production records
Perform preventive maintenance on press brake equipment
Report part or equipment defects to supervisor promptly
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all safety regulations and supervisor instructions
Collaborate with team members to support production goals
Perform additional duties as assigned
